REUNION 2010

CELEBRATING 100 YRS OF SERVICE

Weekend of 28-30 May 2010


Friday, 28 May ’10

1900 - 2300 hrs “Meet and Greet” at Mewata Armoury. Dress is casual. Finger food will be provided. No cost to member, please indicate attendance on linked form at bottom of page.

Saturday, 29 May ’10

Parade commences at 1330 hrs. Please be seated by 1230 hrs.

Review the Centennial Military Parade with “Old Guard” participation. Location Currie Barracks Parade Square. Dress is Regimental blazer with medals, jacket and tie with medals and headdress, or current DEU (serving members).

Centennial Ball: 1830 hrs for 1930 hrs. Location The Military Museum. Dress is Mess Kit or DEUs for serving members, shirt and tie / semi-formal for former members and their guest. This will be a WW1 Themed event in a large pitched tent outside the Museum, with dancing inside the Naval exhibit of the museum. There will be a 24 piece live brass band for entertainment during supper and in the dance hall. The Museum will also be open for people to explore. Cost is $80.00 per person. We expect up to a 1000 people for this ball. Bar service in both the tent and museum. Big Rock Breweries will be producing a special centennial run of its beer labelled with the 3 units cap badges for this event. This will be a rare opportunity to meet with old friends and strengthen our military community.

Sunday, 30 May ’10

Farewell Family Picnic. 1100 hrs to 1400 hrs. Location Shaw Millennium Park (behind Mewata). Dress is casual. Bring the family. Inflatable Bouncers, obstacle courses, military weapons displays and a free BBQ. A free event for the whole family and designed to entertain the kids.

Cost of the Reunion: $80.00 per person

Final date of acceptance for registration, including payment, is 14 May 2010

Method of Payment: Cheque or money order payable to CHRFF (Calgary Highlanders Regimental Fund Foundation). Abbreviation is acceptable on cheques.
