Calgary Highlanders Regimental Funds Foundation

The Calgary Highlanders Regimental Funds Foundation is a legal entity and registered charity, incorporated in the Province of Alberta.  The Foundation allows the Regiment to accept charitable donations and issue tax receipts.   These funds are then used at the discretion of the Commanding Officer, in order to provide financial help to the Regiment and its extended family.

The Foundation is administered by the Regimental Secretary.   He reports to the Honorary Colonel and Honorary Lieutenant Colonel, with activities involving serving members of the Regiment being approved by the Commanding Officer.

The first Regimental Secretary of the Calgary Highlanders was Mr. George Milne, who went on to manage the Communications and Development Unit of the Museum of the Regiments, as well as being a founding member of the Honorable Guard of the Museum of the Regiments.

Mr. Milne was succeeded by Captain T Copplestone, MMM, CD, former Adjutant of the Regiment, then Major R Ansell, CD, and finally by Lieutenant Colonel (retired) J. Lynn Moffat, OMM, CD. The appointment is currently held by Lieutenant Colonel Tom Manley, CD.
